This artwork is an undoubted success of the artist. A perfect example of the many works of still lifes with limited lighting. The use of so-called non-standard illumination in the frame gives the image a certain mystique. The background is painted with the visible effect of dusty interior illuminated by early morning sunlight. The softened contrast in the foreground and the feeling of direct sunlight visually unified the composition, creating an image of something solid.
